On Sunday, I was getting ready to travel to a two-day workshop in Nuneaton.
4th July 2025
Bags packed, head in work mode.
Then I noticed a small dog wandering outside. No collar. Clearly lost.
So I paused. Took her in. Called the dog warden. Posted on Facebook and Next Door. Made some posters. Put them up around the village, talking to strangers about a missing dog.
And then, by chance, bumped into a man searching for her.
Her name was Betty. She was 14. Very sweet.
The workshop still happened. But so did Betty.
A lovely reminder to stay flexible. Stay kind. Stay open to the unexpected.
Because you never know what’s going to happen next.
